The Ultimate Graveyard Halloween Decoration Roundup: Spooky Tombstones & Haunted Accents

Lighting is always an important part of the trail. So along this section, I used skulls and added lights to the inside.

These two photos are from our first year. We set up the graveyard fencing as a small square and kids would walk inside to the middle to get candy.

Last year’s graveyard was much bigger. We added the arches and a few other grave items.

One year I did a lot of work corpsing all of our skeletons so they would look more authentic. We added bugs crawling in and out of them and covered them up with leaves. We also added a shovel to the area, leaving it besides the unburied skellies. 

One year, I was the jump scare. I would kneel down with my shovel + wait until kids came into the graveyard, then jump up and ask them for help digging a grave. 

Easy pallets planks nailed together made for some easy grave markers. While the foam ones look a little more authentic, these are way easier to DIY. I also don’t really love working with the foam.
