3D Printed Fidget Toys: Easy Projects for Focus and Fun
Explore fun and simple 3D printed fidget toy ideas, plus the best filament types and print settings to make durable, satisfying fidgets at home.
I’m a little obsessed with fidgets and 3D printing opens up a whole new realm of options for fidgets. I love that it allows normal people to create their ideal fidget and get it out to the rest of us to use without any of the costs of starting an entire business, producing the product, etc.
ANYONE can create a design and other people can work off the idea to improve the idea, meaning that we’re working with each other to make better quality and more fun fidgets. As someone with ADHD who relies on fidgets to get through meetings and long trainings without being rude, this is super important to me.

🌀 Great 3D Printed Fidget Ideas
Below are some popular and beginner-friendly designs that work great as fidgets:
- Fidget Spinners – Classic and satisfying to spin
- Twist Cubes or Flexi Cubes – Foldable and endlessly entertaining
- Gear Spinners or Gear Rings – Moving gears keep your hands engaged
- Infinity Loops – Smooth rotating shapes for continuous motion
- Pop-it style buttons – Great for sensory seekers
- “Chain” Links – Simple to print and great for stress relief
- Clickers or Sliders – Small parts to push or slide back and forth
- Pain Stims – Fidgets that you can roll back and forth in your hands that have sharp edges that are uncomfortable and create a pain sensation without breaking skin. There are different levels of sharpness to these for people who want more or less ‘pain’ sensation.
I’m going to predominantly share free files that are available in the Bambu store, but some will be paid products.
Some 3D Printed Fidgets that I Love!
Fabric Style Fidget
This 3D printed “chainmail” is pretty satisfying to hold and isn’t too noisy, particularly if you don’t fidget with it as much. It has a decent weight to it though which is nice as a weighted ‘blanket’ of sorts.

Dragon Toy Fidget
This is more of a toy and less of a fidget, but it has aspects of the pain stim to it and it’s quite wiggly and fun to play with. There are a LOT of people who make a similar design- I printed this a long time ago so I’m hoping I’m linking the correct one.

Poker Chip Fidget Spinner
This spins and it’s not terribly loud, but I can see myself breaking this eventually (as I do with many things that become fidgets). It’s small and easy to put in a pocket.

Keychain Fidget
I like this one for my keychain. It makes noise, but it’s usually not terribly obvious if there’s enough background noise… so it’s not right for a quiet classroom. But it’s fine for fidgeting as I’m walking through a crowd with my keychain in hand.

Multiplication Facts Fidget
This one makes noise, but it’s a genius option for kids who are learning their multiplication facts. I LOVE it. The prints were touch and go- I had trouble with a few and needed to reprint them.

Massage Roller
I like this one and it’s not loud. I think a little lubricant might help keep it spinning nicely with less noise.

Pain Stim Clicker
I like that this is a combination of a pain stim and clickers, but the clickers tend to be noisy— vs. the pain stim is helpful in quiet zones where you need the fidget, but can’t make noise. I feel like this leaves too much opportunity for an accidental click or ten. I am ALWAYS the person in a completely silent room who accidentally clicks their pen a few too many times… this would be a no go for me.

Mild Pain Stim
This is tiny and perfect as a mild pain stim. There are three different models and they have varying levels of mild pressure. It’s good for people who are sensitive to too much pain.
Find it on the Bambu Store: I can’t find the same exact model, but Spiked Stress Rollers (3 Levels) by emaxx620 looks similar.

Twist Fidget
This is really satisfying to spin back and forth, but it makes some noise so it’s better for those longer virtual meetings where you can mute yourself.

Dire Wolf/Wolf Flexi
Cute… it’s a flexi toy so it shouldn’t make too much noise unless you drop it over and over.
Find it on the Bambu Store: This is another one that I can’t find currently as I downloaded it last Halloween. I think it was under Halloween Flexi or direwolf, etc.

Pain Stim Keychain
One of my favorite fidgets because it’s quiet and just sharp enough to keep me awake and attentive. These pain stims are intended to hurt a bit without actually doing any damage to you. This is for those who aren’t too sensitive to pain.

Kinetic Spinner
This makes noise but it’s fun to spin! It’s a bit large for pocketing, but great for by the desk.

Tiny Spinner
This is small, easy to keep in a pocket, and has a nice little spin to it. It’s not quite as loud as the metal spinners and the larger spinners. I wish I’d printed this in two colors which looks nicer.

Clicker Fidgets
I really like these clicker fidgets, but they aren’t free. You can either get the Patreon subscription or buy the designs individually.

Desk Fidget/Sandbox
This 3D printed desk fidget sandbox offers a calming, hands-on sensory experience perfect for relieving stress and staying focused throughout the day.

Small Flexi Dragon
This cute little dragon is a small toy that can also be a fidget… it’s easy to hold in the palm of your hand.

Infinite Cube Fidget
My kids love these. You can move the pieces around in ‘infinite’ ways and it’s sturdy enough to have lasting power. It doesn’t make much noise either.

🧵 Best Filament for Fidget Toys
For strong and satisfying fidgets, PLA is a great starting point, but there are a few options depending on what feel and flexibility you want:
- PLA – Easy to print, good strength, ideal for rigid fidgets
- PETG – More durable and flexible than PLA; great for clickers or bendy toys
- TPU – Soft and bendable; best for stretchy, rubbery fidgets (may need slower print speeds)
⚙️ Suggested Print Settings
These settings may vary based on your printer and design, but here’s a good starting point:
- Layer Height: 0.2mm for a balance of speed and detail
- Infill: 15–40% (higher for durability or mechanical parts)
- Walls/Shells: 2–3 perimeters for strength
- Supports: Only as needed (some fidgets are designed support-free)
- Bed Adhesion: Brim or skirt depending on the model
Optional: Use silicone spray or graphite to help moving parts turn more smoothly!
🧠 Why Use Fidgets?
Fidgets can help with:
- Improving focus in school or work
- Supporting sensory needs for neurodivergent individuals
- Managing anxiety or stress
- Building fine motor skills
Whether you’re printing for fun or function, 3D printed fidgets are a great way to explore creativity and support mental wellness.
