Two years ago we decided to add creepy dolls to our Halloween Trail. Making the dolls and other decorations was a lot of fun if you like upcycling and crafting.
These decorations aren’t the large scale ones that you usually would see for a Haunted Trail like this.
Instead, they are the small details that make an area more creepy.
I’m not going to get into the process for making the dolls In this post, but rather discuss some of the individual ideas that went into this area.

I purchased these doll heads a couple of years ago and ended up putting them on sticks with lights inside them to help line the trail.
As taller path markers, they worked out really well the following year to help keep some fabric barriers in place to create a visual barrier from the remainder of the trail.
We bought old dolls cheap from the thrift store and absolutely destroyed them for this. It was so much fun.
For the trail, we setup a kids play table and chairs. A couple of the dolls were left unchanged and were having a tea party. But the spotlight was on the dolls creeping around the tea party.
