HOW TO MELT CRAYONS TO MAKE ART

Save those old crayons to make the coolest melted crayon art!

SUPPLIES

– Old crayons – Canvas – Ryobi Glue Gun – Wagner Heat Gun – Drop cloth

STEP 1.

Start by removing the labels from your crayons. Glue the crayons down like flower petals around the red crayon in the center.

STEP 2.

Once your crayons are down, use your heat gun to start melting the crayons. Use the heat gun’s air pressure to force the melted wax to go across the canvas.

STEP 3.

After you are happy with how the colors look on the canvas, use some children’s scissors to lay shavings of white crayon on top of the wax.

STEP 4.

You want the shavings to go on before the crayon wax solidifies. This will let the shavings stick a bit so they don’t blow around when you turn the heat gun on.

STEP 5.

Melt your white wax, letting it pop out to look like stars in your galaxy. continue to melt the wax and move it around until you’re satisfied!
