Easy Plants to Grow in the Garden

Make this year the year you have a beautiful garden with these easy plant ideas!

Lamb’s Ear

Lamb's ear is a perennial that WILL take over your garden, but you'll love it! They blossom with purple flowers later in the season that are stunning.

Milkweed

This perennial is a pretty pink flowering milkweed plant. Plant extra milkweed to attract and feed the butterflies. Kids will love it!

Strawberries

Strawberries are a simple edible option for the garden. They produce pretty white flowers early in spring and ripen late spring depending on your zone.

Creeping Thyme

Creeping thyme is an herb that makes a great ground cover for your garden. It also smells awesome. Plant it toward the front to cover the ground and reduce weeds.

Knockout Roses

Knockout roses, unlike traditional roses, don’t require a TON of maintenance. They have beautiful flowers and will need a trellis to climb.

Astilbes

Astilbes is a pretty perennial that attracts butterflies and dies back in the Fall. It will regrow in the Spring and grows nice and tall!

Hostas

Hostas are a full green plant grown from a bulb. It produces light purple flowers that attract bees and occasionally hummingbirds. Also deer will eat them!

Azaleas

Azaleas are BEAUTIFUL when they bloom in early Spring with bright pink flowers. When the flowers disappear, you’re left with a lush green shrub.
