These are generally used for traveling as a high chair, but we needed a time out chair. I’m hoping this will cut it. The pictures are all Baby G in an armless chair, but I actually transferred this to a chair with arms because it keeps him from diving off the side, haha. I don’t trust fabric THAT much. I mostly needed the symbolism though because after a few tries, I just needed him to sit IN the seat, not necessarily tied in. He’s been pretty good about doing time outs if we sit with him and count. I’m not doing crazy long time outs yet though- that will change as he gets older.
I used this tutorial from Tales of the Wife, but I tweaked it a little so I’ll explain a bit of what I did different. As you can see, mine didn’t hang from the top of the chair like hers does. It slips over the chair the same, but I didn’t sew it together at the top. I think technically I could use it reversible with the inner fabric, but I messed up the inner fabric so I won’t be doing that… haha.
