I ran out of body wash and decided to try a DIY solution in hopes we could save a few dollars… plus I like mixing things myself. I feel like quite the chemist- haha.
I used some liquid Dr. Bonners soap I bought off Amazon.com and filled my empty bottle 1/3 way full with it, filling the rest of the way with water and three drops of lavender oil.
I’ve been reading since that buying bar soap is a cheaper method to making body wash so I’m going to try that when this all runs out.
Here’s a link on using Dr. Bronners soap and how the author diluted hers. I didn’t use as much Dr. Bronners as she did because I was trying to be thrifty and wanted to see if 1/3 would be enough. I think it worked well with that much, but there may also have been leftover soap residue from the soap that was in there before.
This bottle was great because the label peeled right off, something the upcycler in me always appreciates.
